Prosura Teams Up with Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Football Club
About the Sponsorship
As a result of this sponsorship, Prosura will be providing business insurance to the club, it has secured perimeter branding and also agreed to sponsor two players for the 2024 season – this will include players from the Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) and the Wheelchair Rugby League teams.
Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Football Club (RLFC)
Wakefield Trinity, a local professional rugby league club, was established in 1873. Their first team play in the Rugby Football League Championship at the Be Well Support Stadium, Belle Vue, Wakefield.

Proud to be a Legacy
Callum Topliss, Commercial Account Executive at Prosura, adds:
“When Jon mentioned to us that Prosura was partnering with Wakefield Trinity, I was super proud. Yes, it’s good for the business, but it’s also great to be part of a legacy that was my uncle, David Topliss.
David Topliss was a World Cup winning professional rugby league football player who played over three decades (1960 – 1980’s) and coached throughout the 1980s and 1990s, where he was head coach for seven years. David played over 460 games for Wakefield Trinity between the years of 1968 and 1981.
Callum further adds:
“My uncle spent the majority of his career playing for the Wakefield Trinity first team where he maintained a captaincy for a couple of seasons and holds a position in the hall of fame. He is a true legend and part of the rugby world, and I could spend forever talking about his fantastic achievements.
“I am really proud to be a Topliss and to know that the company that I work with is supporting the club that he adored!”
